In June 2023, the number of VAT-registered enterprises increased, compared to May with 15 more units.
This figure is the result of 6,750 new enterprises (first registrations), 741 re-registrations and 7,476 de-registrations.
The two sectors with the most significant increases this month are professional, scientific and technical activities (+ 243) and human health and social work activities (+ 150).
First registrations
In June 2023 first registrations increased by 10.6% in all sectors to June 2022. That is 645 more births than last year.
Re-registrations
The number of re-registrations across all sectors combined increased by 21.7% compared to last year. This is an increase of 132 companies.
De-registrations
In June 2023, the number of de-registrations increased by 12.0% compared to June 2022. This is an increase of 803 units.
Evolution of the population of VAT-registered units
In June 2023 we observe a 2.6% growth of the VAT-registered population over a year. The total population of VAT-registered units increased by 29,224 units compared to June 2022 and amounts to 1,155,859 entreprises.
