Labour Force Statistics in Türkiye, October 2022
Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate realized as 10.2%
According to Household Labour Force Survey; the number of unemployed persons aged 15 years old and over increased by 57 thousand to 3 million 534 thousand persons in October 2022 compared to the previous month. As the unemployment rate estimated 10.2% with 0.1 percentage point increase compared to the previous month; it was estimated 8.6% for men and 13.3% for women.
Seasonally adjusted employment rate realized as 48.0%
The number of employed persons increased by 229 thousand to 31 million 200 thousand persons in October 2022 compared to the previous month. The employment rate occurred as 48.0% with 0.3 percentage point increase. In addition, this rate was 65.6% for men, 30.8% for women.
Seasonally adjusted labour force participation rate realized as 53.5%
The number of persons in the labour force realized as 34 million 734 thousand persons with 287 thousand persons increase in October 2022 compared to the previous month. Labour force participation rate was 53.5% with 0.4 percentage point increase. Also this rate was 71.8% for men, it was 35.5% for women.
Seasonally adjusted youth unemployment rate was 21.9%
The youth unemployment rate in the 15-24 age group was 21.9% with 1.8 percentage point increase compared to the previous month. While this rate was estimated 18.2% for men and 28.6% for women.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted average weekly actual working hours was 44.3
Seasonally and calendar adjusted average weekly actual working hours of persons at work during the reference period estimated 44.3 hours with 0.3 hours increase compared to the previous month in October 2022.

Seasonally adjusted composite measure of labour underutilization rate realized as 20.3%
In October 2022, the rate of composite measure of labour underutilization consisting of time-related underemployment, potential labour force and unemployment was 20.3% without any change compared to the previous month. While combined rate of time-related underemployment and unemployment realized as 14.2%, combined rate of unemployment and potential labour force estimated as 16.6%.
