Seasonally adjusted employment rate realized as 49.6%
The number of employed persons increased by 136 thousand to 32 million 734 thousand persons in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter. The employment rate occurred as 49.6% with 0.1 percentage point increase. In addition, this rate was 67.2% for men, 32.4% for women.
Seasonally adjusted labour force participation rate realized as 54.3%
The number of persons in the labour force increased by 116 thousand to 35 million 840 thousand persons in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter and labour force participation rate was 54.3% with 0.1 percentage point increase. Labour force participation rate was estimated 72.1% for men and 36.9% for women.
Seasonally adjusted youth unemployment rate was 16.8%
The youth unemployment rate in the 15-24 age group was 16.8% with 0.5 percentage point increase compared to the previous quarter. Unemployment rate in this age group estimated as 13.3% for men and 23.5% for women.

58.2% of seasonally adjusted employment was in the services sector
In the third quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter, the number of industry increased by 46 thousand persons, construction increased by 12 thousand persons and services increased by 110 thousand persons while agricultural employment decreased by 32 thousand persons. According to the distribution of employment by sector; 14.6% was employed in agriculture, 20.6% was employed in industry, 6.7% was employed in construction and 58.2% was employed in services.
Seasonally and calendar adjusted average weekly actual working hours was 42.6
Seasonally and calendar adjusted average weekly actual working hours of persons at work during the reference period estimated 42.6 hours with 1.3 hours decrease compared to the previous quarter in the third quarter of 2024.
Seasonally adjusted composite measure of labour underutilization rate realized as 26.5%
The rate of composite measure of labour underutilization consisting of time-related underemployment, potential labour force and unemployment was 26.5% with 0.8 percentage point decrease in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the previous quarter. While combined rate of time-related underemployment and unemployment realized as 17.8%, combined rate of unemployment and potential labour force realized as 18.4%.
