Prices and Values in Livestock and Animal Products, 2019 in Turkey
Price of cattle (culture) decreased by 3.25% with respect to the previous year
The decrease in 2019 compared to the previous year was realised as 2.74% in the price of cattle (domestic). The lowest increase in prices for cattle (culture) and kid of angora goats were realised as 0.61% and 4.77% respectively, compared to the previous year. The highest increase in 2019 compared to the previous year was realised for ordinary goats with 17.71% and kid of ordinary goats with 19.87%.

Hen eggs price was decreased 3.54% compared to previous year
The lowest increase in 2019 compared to previos year was realesed for wool with 1.48%. In 2019, the price of honey increased by 15.94%, price of cow’s milk increased by 20.87% and price of sheep milk incresed by %21.12 compared to previous year.

EXPLANATIONS
Prices received by farmers are unit prices of products which are produced or grown and directly sold by farmers. The production value is obtained by multiplying production quantity and related unit price.
Livestock and livestock product prices are compiled monthly in collaboration with the province and district office of Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry via internet. Sugar beet prices are received from Presidency of Sugar Department, green tea prices are from General Directorate of Tea Companies, poppy capsule and seed prices are from Turkish Grain Board and tobacco prices are from Tobacco and Alcohol Market Regulatory Institution. Also, prices are compiled from the commodity exchange and producers unions.
