As compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year, the overall export unit value index increased by 13.3% in April. In the same month, compared to April 2021, the index for food, beverages and tobacco, crude materials (except fuels), fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 9.3%, 17.6%, 78.6% and 10.6%, respectively.
The overall export volume index increased by 10.0%
The overall export volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year increased by 10.0% in April. Compared with April 2021, the index for food, beverages and tobacco, crude materials (except fuels), fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 8.2%, 9.1%, 25.1% and 11.4%, respectively.

The overall import unit value index increased by 39.4%
As compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year, the overall import unit value index increased by 39.4% in April. The index for food, beverages and tobacco, crude materials (except fuels), fuels and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 26.8%, 24.5%, 194.8% and 10.4%, respectively.
The overall import volume index decreased by 3.2%
In April, the overall import volume index compared to the corresponding month of the preceding year decreased by 3.2%. While the index for food, beverages and tobacco, and manufactured goods (except food, beverages and tobacco) increased by 19.4% and 3.6%, respectively, the index for crude materials (except fuels) and fuels decreased by 5.4% and 20.2%, respectively.

The calendar and seasonally adjusted export volume index increased by 11.9%
The calendar and seasonally adjusted export volume index which was 144.7 in March 2022, increased by 11.9%, to 161.9 in April 2022. The calendar adjusted export volume index which was 141.8 in April 2021, increased by 14.4%, to 162.3 in April 2022.
The calendar and seasonally adjusted import volume index increased by 0.3%
The calendar and seasonally adjusted import volume index which was 109.7 in March 2022, increased by 0.3%, to 110.1 in April 2022. The calendar adjusted import volume index is 107.3 in April 2022.

Terms of trade was 74.1 in April 2022
Terms of trade is calculated by dividing the export unit value index by the import unit value index, then multiplying the result by 100. While terms of trade was 91.2 in April 2021, it decreased by 17.1 points to 74.1 in April 2022.
