In October 2022, the Swiss Investor Sentiment Index increased by 16.1 points from the previous month to -53.1, however this was the eighth month in a row of low confidence. The survey indicated a little amount of optimism over the Swiss labor market’s durability when growth slows and borrowing costs are increased by the SNB. However, economists indicated that although expectations are expected to stay above the target level for a while, inflation is still expected to moderate in the medium run. The evaluation of the state of the economy, which was at 15.7 last month, dropped by 2.3 points this month.
