Earnings higher in nominal and in real terms in Slovenia

Average gross earnings for March 2022 amounted to EUR 2,007.92. Compared to earnings for the previous month, they were higher, in nominal terms by 4.2% and in real terms by 5.4%. Average net earnings amounted to EUR 1,306.68. Compared to earnings for the previous month, they were higher in nominal terms by 5.3% and in real terms by 6.5%.

Higher in both sectors, public and private

Compared to earnings for February, average gross earnings were higher in both sectors, in the private sector by 4.2% and in the public sector by 4.3% (in the institutional sector general government they were higher by 1.6%).

The highest in financial and insurance activities

At the monthly level, average gross earnings increased the most in financial and insurance activities (by 38.5%; mainly due to higher extra payments) and amounted to EUR 3,548.76. They decreased only in arts, entertainment and recreation (by 2.0%).
