In November 2022, 2.810 million persons on the French mainland were officially unemployed, a decrease of 64.7 thousand from the previous month and the lowest level since October 2011. The number of unemployed people in the 25–49 age group decreased by 40.9 thousand to 1.641 million, and those in the 50–plus age group decreased by 17.2 thousand to 0.804 million. Additionally, the number of young people without jobs fell by 6.6 thousand, to 0.366 million. The number of people who were officially unemployed decreased by 311.3 thousand in comparison to the same month last year.
