Sectoral Confidence Indices, December 2019 in Turkey
Seasonally adjusted confidence index which was 91.3 for services in November increased by 2% in December to 93.2. In services sector; business situation, demand-turnover and demand-turnover expectation indices increased by 0.6%, 1.9% and 3.4% respectively to 89.8, 89.3 and 100.5 compared to the previous month.
Retail trade confidence index realized as 102.6
Seasonally adjusted retail trade confidence index increased by 1.4% in December to 102.6. In retail trade sector; business activity-sales and current volume of stock indices increased by 2% and 3.4% respectively to 96.9 and 109.3 compared to the previous month. On the other hand, business activity-sales expectation index decreased by 1.2% to 101.8 in December.

Construction confidence index realized as 68.9
Seasonally adjusted construction confidence index which was 63.9 in previous month increased by 7.9% in December to 68.9. In construction sector; current overall order books and total employment expectation indices increased by 9.1% and 7.2% respectively to 48.6 and 89.2 compared to the previous month.

Sectoral confidence indices can take value between 0 and 200. It indicates an optimistic outlook when the index is above 100, but it indicates a pessimistic outlook when it is below 100.
