At the end of May, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 22 645 085
The total number of road motor vehicles registered to the traffic reached 22 million 645 thousand 85 by the end of May. The number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 3.1% compared with the previous month
In May, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 3.1% compared with the previous month. Cars, small trucks, and motorcycles increased by 1.1%, 20.2%, and 6.1% respectively. Minibusses, buses, trucks, special purpose vehicles, and tractors decreased by 10.6%, 24.6%, 5%, 30.2% and 12.7%.
The number of road motor vehicles registered decreased by 9.1% compared with the same month of the previous year
In May, the number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 9.1% compared with the same month of the previous year. Cars, buses, small trucks, special purpose vehicles, and tractors decreased by 13.2%, 38.4%, 12.1%, 73.1%, and 33% respectively. Minibusses, trucks, and motorcycles increased by 24.8%, 16.9% and 16.2%.
In the period of January-May, the total number of road motor vehicles in traffic increased by 426 140
While 46 thousand 435 road motor vehicles were withdrawn, 472 thousand 575 road motor vehicles were added in January-May period. Hence, the total number of road motor vehicles registered increased by 426 thousand 140.
672 053 road motor vehicles handed over in May
Among 672 thousand 53 vehicles handed over(1), cars accounted for 70.3% followed by small trucks 16%, motorcycles 5.9% and tractors 2.9%. Minibusses, buses, trucks and special purpose vehicles constituted 4.9% of the handed over motor vehicles in May.
The ratio of cars registered using LPG was 38.1%
At the end of May, among the 12 million 303 thousand 46 registered cars, the share of LPG-fuelled cars was 38.1% followed by diesel-fuelled cars with 36% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 25.5%. The ratio of the cars with unknown(2) fuel type was 0.4%.
In May, 55 727 cars were registered to the traffic
In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the 55 thousand 727 new registered cars in May, Renault recorded 16.7%, Volkswagen 11.3%, Fiat 8.5%, Dacia 6%, Hyundai 5.9%, Ford 5.3%, Toyota 5.2%, Honda 4.7%, Peugeot 4.4%, Mercedes-Benz 4.4% and the other trademarks 27.6% of the total.
Most frequent engine size was 1501-1600 for registered cars
Within 276 thousand 948 cars registered to traffic in January-May period, 42.8% of them had engine size 1501-1600, 27.5% had 1401-1500, 12.9% had 1300 or less, 11.7% had 1301-1400, 4.1% had 1601-2000, 0.9% had 2001 and above engine size.
The most frequent color was white for registered cars
Within 276 thousand 948 cars registered to traffic in January-May period, 56.8% of them were white, 20.9% were grey, 7.6% were black, 5.3% were red and 9.4% were in other colors.
