Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products, June 2018
Agriculture PPI increased by 0.08 % in June
Producer price index of agricultural products (Agriculture – PPI) increased on the previous month by 0.08%, on December of the previous year basis increased by 0.94%, on the same month of the previous year increased by 8.97% and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 10.34% in June 2018.
Compared to the previous month; agriculture and hunting products decreased by 0.03%, forestry products decreased by 0.30%, however, fishing increased by 3.88%.
The highest monthly increase was in non-perennial crops
Monthly changes by main groups; non-perennial crops increased by 2.93% and live animals and animal products increased by 1.05%, however, perennial crops decreased by 8.56%.
The vegetables from sub-agriculture groups increased by 4.52%
From sub-agriculture groups; there were increases for rice (in hulk) by 2.31%, for sheep and goats, live; raw milk and shorn wool from sheep and goats by 2.24% and for cereals (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds by 1.99%, however, there were decreases for poultry, live and eggs by 1.02%, for oleaginous fruits by 0.54% and for fibre plants by 0.24%.
In June 2018, 82 items included in the Agriculture PPI; while 1 new item included this month, prices of 42 items increased, prices of 30 items decreased and prices of 9 items remained unchanged with respect to the previous month.
