Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products in Türkiye, September 2023
Agriculture-PPI (2015=100) on the previous month increased by 4.47%, on December of the previous year increased by 46.58%, on same month of the previous year increased by 71.96% and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 91.66% in September 2023.
Compared to the previous month in sectors; fishing products and other fishing products decreased by 1.23%, products of agriculture, hunting and related services increased by 4.50% and forestry products and related services increased by 8.54%. Regarding monthly changes by main groups; non-perennial crops increased by 3.28%, perennial crops increased by 4.74% and live animals and animal products increased by 6.10%.

Compared to general Agriculture-PPI, lower annual change observed in 5 subgroups while 8 subgroups were higher
Cereal (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds with 26.19% and rice (in husk) with %50.65 were the subgroups that indicated low annual increase. On the other hand, grapes with 154.83% and pome fruits and stone fruits with 146.92% were the subgroups where high annual increases realized. Fibre plants with 5.93% was the only subgroup that indicated annual decrease.

Compared to general Agriculture-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 3 subgroups while 10 subgroups were higher
Cereal (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds with 1.80% and sheep and goats, live; raw milk and shorn wool from sheep and goats with 2.86% were the subgroups that indicated low monthly increase. Oleaginous fruits with 31.62% and other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 24.05% were the subgroups that indicated high monthly increase.

In September 2023, within average prices of 84 items in the index; the average prices of 22 items decreased while the average prices of 57 items increased.
