Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products in Türkiye, February 2023
Agriculture-PPI (2015=100) on the previous month increased by 6.58%, on December of the previous year increased by 18.40%, on same month of the previous year increased by 127.56% and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 142.90% in February 2023.
Compared to the previous month in sectors; products of agriculture, hunting and related services increased by 6.41%, fishing products and other fishing products increased by 10.68% and forestry products and related services increased by 10.91%. Regarding monthly changes by main groups; perennial crops decreased by 0.95%, live animals and animal products increased by 6.32% and non-perennial crops increased by 10.80%.

Compared to general Agriculture-PPI, lower annual change observed in 5 subgroups while 6 subgroups were higher
Fibre plants with 32.64% and cereal (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds with 84.67% were the subgroups that indicated low annual increase. On the other hand, citrus fruits with 213.84% and oleaginous fruits with 188.83% were the subgroups where high annual increases realized.

Compared to general Agriculture-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 8 subgroups while 3 subgroups were higher
Citrus fruits with 2.70% and rice (in husk) with 2.04% were the subgroups that indicated monthly decrease. On the other hand, vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with 24.09% and oleaginous fruits with 7.52% were the subgroups that indicated high monthly increase.

In February 2023, within average prices of 86 items in the index; the average prices of 14 items decreased while the average prices of 68 items increased.
