Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products, February 2020 in Turkey
Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products (Agriculture-PPI) increased by 10.22% annually and 2.56% monthly
Agriculture-PPI (2015=100) on the previous month increased by 2.56%, on December of the previous year increased by 5.65%, on same month of the previous year increased by 10.22% and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 20.04% in February 2020.
Compared to the previous month in sectors; product of agriculture, hunting and relating services increased by 2.38%, fishing products and other fishing products increased by 5.53% and forestry products and related services increased by 7.32%. Regarding monthly changes by main groups; live animals and animal products increased by 1.63%, non-perennial crops increased by 1.87% and perennial crops increased by 4.49%.

The lowest annual decrease was 19.49% vegetables and melons, root and tubers subgroup
In February 2020, poultry, live and eggs was the other subgroup where high annual decrease realized with 8.10% on the same month of the previous year. On the other hand, citrus fruits with 34.80% and other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 42.92% were the subgroups where high annual increases realized on the same month of the previous year.

The highest monthly decrease was 3.21% in fibre plants subgroup
In February 2020, the other group that indicated a decrease were oleaginous fruits with 0.93% and cereals (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds with 1.02% amongst the subgroups. On the other hand, vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with 3.47% and citrus fruits with 5.52% were the subgroups where high monthly increases realized.

In February 2020 within average prices of 86 items in the index; the average prices of 17 items decreased and the average prices of 8 items remained unchanged while the average prices of 61 items increased.
