Between September 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022, covering the 9-month period of Türkiye’s 2021/2022 hazelnut export season, hazelnuts amounting to 1 billion 700 million 495 thousand 560 dollars were exported in exchange for 287 thousand 934 tons. Compared to the same period of the previous season, exports increased by 25% in quantity and 6% in value.
In the 9-month period of the 2021/2022 season, hazelnut exports were realized to 123 countries. Compared to the previous season, exports increased by 25 percent in quantity and 6 percent in value. Nearly 50 percent of hazelnut exports were made to Germany and Italy. As in every period, it was the biggest buyer of hazelnut exports in Europe.
