The Minimum Wage for 2023 was announced as 8,506,80 TL in Türkiye.
- The rate of increase in the minimum wage of 5,500,35 TL applied between July 2022 and December was 54.66%.
- The amount of the increase made to the minimum wage of 5,500.35 TL, which was applied between July 2022 and December, was 3,006.45 TL.
- Minimum wage announced on December 22, 2022
- Ergün Atalay, Chairman of the Workers’ representative of Türk-İş Union was not present at the table where the 2023 Minimum Wage was announced.
- New Gross Minimum Wage is 10,008 TL
- The cost to the employer is 11,759.40 TL. (1,501,20 TL Worker’s Share, 1,751.40 TL Employer’s Share = 3,252,60 TL Social Security and Unemployment Insurance Premium)
- TOTAL Insurance and Unemployment Insurance Premium to be paid for minimum wage earners are 3,252.60 TL (11,750 TL x 32.5%) with a 5-point payment discount on due date.
- Net Minimum wage applied in previous years:
- 2021 – 2,825 TL
- 2022 – 4.253 TL (January-June)
- 2022 – 5.500 TL (July-December)
