Registered Unemployment: October 2024  in Malta

  • The number of registered unemployed in October 2024 increased by 130 persons over October 2023 levels.
  • Males accounted for 68.4 per cent or 745 of total registrants while females accounted for the remaining 31.6 per cent or 344 registrants.
  • Increases in the registered unemployment levels were recorded in the majority of the age groups.
  • The number of persons with a disability registering for work decreased by six persons over the same period in 2023.
  • Clerical support jobs were the most common occupations sought by the registered unemployed.
