17,470 jobseekers and an unemployment rate of 5.7% in Luxembourg
The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM stood at 17,470 on 31 May 2024, an increase of 2,282 (or 15%) compared to May 2023.
This number of jobseekers is up for all vacancy durations.
The most highly qualified jobseekers (higher education graduates) and those under the age of 30 are experiencing the biggest increases.
In terms of occupations, the biggest increases were in construction (ROME category F), finance and real estate (category C), industry (category H), installation and maintenance (category I), accountancy (M12) and IT (M18).
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC is 5.7%.
