- Breaking down the results by sex, the Monthly Unemployment rate in October 2024 was 4.1% for males, up from a revised rate of 4.0% in September 2024, and down from a revised rate of 4.4% in October 2023.
- The Monthly Unemployment rate in October 2024 was 4.3% for females, unchanged from the September 2024 rate, and down from a rate of 4.6% in October 2023.
- In terms of age, the Monthly Unemployment rate for people aged 15-24 years (youth unemployment rate) increased to 10.6%, from a revised rate of 10.4% in September 2024.
- The Monthly Unemployment rate for people aged 25-74 years was 3.2%, which remained unchanged from the revised rate in September 2024.
