According to Statistics Finland data, Finland’s industrial output fell in February for the first time in three months.
Separately, official data revealed that the nation’s trade imbalance decreased in February compared to the same month last year due to a faster decline in imports than exports.
After increasing by 2.1 percent the month before, industrial output decreased by 2.3 percent in February when working days were taken into account.
The output generated in February across the major sectors fell 10.7 percent and 12.2 percent annually, respectively, in the chemical and forest industries.
Production in the areas of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply saw favorable growth of 6.1 percent and an increase of 11.0 percent in the mining and quarrying sector.
