Number of paid employees including industry, construction, trade-services sectors increased by 4% in April 2022 compared with the same month of the previous year. While the number of paid employees was 13 million 455 thousand 901 in the same month of the previous year, it became 13 million 992 thousand 443 in April 2022.
When sub-sectors are examined; number of paid employees in industrial sector increased by 3.8%, in construction sector decreased by 11.2% and in trade-services sector increased by 7.4%.

Number of paid employees including industry, construction, trade-services sectors decreased by 0.2% in April 2022 compared with the previous month.
When sub-sectors are examined; number of paid employees in industrial sector decreased by 0.2%, in construction sector decreased by 4.4% and in trade-services sector increased by 0.5% monthly.

EXPLANATIONS
Calendar effect has not been observed in number of paid employees. Therefore unadjusted series are used instead of calendar adjusted series.
Monthly changes refer to the changes of seasonally adjusted values compared to the previous month.
