In spite of the difficulties created by brittle supply chains, Turkey has emerged as a significant hub of potential for many German businesses, Thilo Pahl, general manager of the abroad Turkish Chamber of Commerce, told the German newspaper Handelsblatt.

According to the survey, published by Pahl, “the global supply chain problem surprisingly makes Turkey a favorite site for German importers and exporters.”

He emphasized that Turkey is growing in significance for the logistics industry as a result of its advantageous geographic placement close to EU member states.

According to Pahl, some businesses have recently been forced to relocate their activities there due to the ongoing crisis between Russia and Ukraine.

“Turkey has the potential to develop into a larger economic route from Asia to Europe.”

According to Tobias Bartz, CEO of the German shipping company Rhenus, western businesses seek to relocate their activities from Asia to areas close to Europe.

Turkey is the best location for production and trade because of its extremely young and educated population, according to Bartz, who spoke to Handelsblatt.
