According to survey findings from the Bank of Korea, consumer confidence in South Korea declined in October after rising a month earlier.

The consumer confidence index decreased from 91.4 the previous month to 88.8 this month.

The measurements of the present and future living standards fell two points each to 83 and 84, respectively, among the sub-indicators.

While the indicator indicating future household expenditure increased one point to 110, the index measuring future household income fell two points to 94.

According to the study, household sentiment regarding the domestic economy as a whole was three points lower in October than it was in September, at 47, and six points lower in October than it was in September, at 56.

Inflation is predicted to be 4.3% in the upcoming year. Between October 7 and October 17, the polling of 2,500 households took place.
