The volume of sales in retail trade has decreased by 3.2% compared to the same month last year. Retail sale in non-specialised stores with food, beverages or tobacco predominating also registers a decrease (-2.7%), just like retail sale of other goods in specialised stores (-2.3%) and other household equipment (-0.7%). The sector of textiles, clothing, footwear and leather goods in specialised stores shows an increase (+1.1%), as well as the retail sale of automotive fuels (+1.4%).
The sharpest increase is registered in other retail sale in non-specialised stores (+6%).
The sharpest decreases were registered in:
- Retail sale via stalls and markets (-14.9%)
- Retail sale via mail order houses or via Internet (-6.3%)
- Retail sale of food, beverages and tobacco in specialised stores (-5.5%)
- Retail sale of non-food products except automotive fuel (-3.7%)
In June 2023, the volume of sales increased in most major trade sectors
After an increase of 3.8% in May compared to April, the volume of sales in retail trade continues to increase in June (+3.5%), in retail sale in non-specialised stores with food, beverages or tobacco predominating (+2.0% in June vs +4.2% in May), automotive fuel in specialised stores (+1.5% vs +4.9%) and other household equipment in specialised stores (+2.0% vs +4.8%). The volume of sales also continues to increase in the sector of other goods in specialised stores (+4.6% vs +2.8%) and textiles, clothing, footwear and leather goods in specialised stores (+6.6% vs +1.4%).
