According to the results of the Foreign Trade Expectations Survey in Türkiye conducted between September 04-19, 2023, the Export Expectations Index for the 4th quarter of 2023 increased by 4.5 points compared to the previous quarter and became 114.
According to the diffusion indices of the questions included in the Export Expectation Index, export expectation for the next 3 months, export order expectation, currently registered export order level affected the index in an upward direction compared to the previous quarter, while evaluations regarding the level of export orders in the last 3 months affected the index in a downward direction.
Import Expectation Index for the 4th quarter of 2023 was realized as 121.3.
2023 Q4 Import Expectations Index increased by 16 points compared to the previous quarter and became 121.3. Among the questions included in the Import Expectation Index, import expectations for the next 3 months, import
unit price expectation and the level of import orders in the last 3 months affected the index upwards compared to the previous quarter, while the assessments regarding the level of import orders currently registered affected the index downwards.
