Industrial output grew in Finland in July 2024 both month-on-month and year-on-year

Seasonally adjusted industrial output (TOL BCD) grew by 1.9 per cent in July from the month before. According to Statistics Finland, industrial output adjusted for working days went up by 6.4 per cent compared to July 2023.

Output grew in July in nearly all examined main industries

In July, industrial output (C) adjusted for working days was 6.6 per cent higher than in July 2023. Output increased by 1.3 per cent from the month before.

Industrial output grew in July from the previous month in nearly all main industries examined in the chart. Output increased most from the previous month in the chemical industry (14.7%) and in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (7.1%). In the electrical and electronics industry, output was 2.4 per cent higher, in the metal industry 1.0 per cent higher and in the forest industry 0.2 per cent higher than in June. In mining and quarrying, output decreased by 8.5 per cent from the previous month.
