Changes in prices for exported and imported goods

In September 2023, compared to August, the prices for exported goods increased by 1.7 per cent, those for imported goods – 1.9 per cent.

As regards exported goods, the largest price increase was observed for crude petroleum – 19.3 per cent. An increase in prices was recorded for electricity (14.4 per cent), planting material: live plants, bulbs, tubers and roots, cuttings and slips; mushroom spawn (8.5 per cent), while a decrease – for electronic components and boards (5.2 per cent), as well as grain mill products, starches and starch products (3.1 per cent), other non-metallic mineral products (2 per cent).

As regards imported goods, the largest price increase was observed for crude petroleum – 13 per cent. An increase in prices was recorded for natural gas (8.8 per cent), planting material: live plants, bulbs, tubers and roots, cuttings and slips; mushroom spawn (8.3 per cent), while a decrease – for live animals and animal products (6 per cent), processed and preserved fish, crustaceans and molluscs (5.3 per cent), pesticides and other agrochemical products (4.8 per cent).

Over a month, prices for goods imported from the euro area increased by 0.6 per cent, from the non‑euro area – 3 per cent.

Over the year (September 2023, against September 2022), prices for exported goods decreased by 3.7 per cent, imported goods – 14.9 per cent.

Over the year, prices for goods imported from the euro area decreased by 3.8 per cent, from the non‑euro area – 22.3 per cent.
