According to preliminary statistics released by Statistics Denmark, the relaxation of COVID-19-related limitations helped the Danish economy recover in the second quarter.
In contrast to the first quarter’s 0.5 percent decrease, the gross domestic product increased by 0.7 percent sequentially. The economy thereby escaped a recession.
Industry and hotel and restaurant developments propelled the advancement. The agency claimed that the hotel industry was significantly benefitted by the cessation of the lockdowns.
According to data, employment grew by 0.7% in the second quarter.
