According to preliminary Statistics Denmark data, the Danish economy grew more slowly in the second quarter due to negative contributions from maritime transport, utilities, and trade.
Following a 0.6 percent increase in the first quarter, the gross domestic product increased sequentially by 0.2 percent in the June quarter. Additionally, the economy expanded for the third consecutive quarter.
The improvement in the public sector and the pharmaceutical business drove the overall positive rise, the agency stated, although maritime transportation, utilities, and trade in particular slowed GDP growth.
Employment increased 0.3 percent in the second quarter compared to the previous three-month period.
