The Consumer Price Index in South Korea was 109.21 (2020=100) in October 2022. The index increased 0.3 percent from the preceding month and rose 5.7 percent from the same month of the previous year.

The index excluding food and energy was 106.09 in October 2022. The index increased 0.4 percent from the preceding month and rose 4.2 percent from the same month of the previous year.

The index for Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, Clothing and footwear, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Furnishings, household equipment & routine maintenance, Health, Communication, Recreation and culture, Restaurants and hotels, and Miscellaneous goods and services increased 0.1 percent, 0.2 percent, 2.0 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.4 percent, 0.1 percent, 0.3 percent, and 0.1 percent respectively from the preceding month.

The index for Food and non-alcoholic beverages, and Transport decreased 1.3 percent, and 0.5 percent respectively from the preceding month.

The index for Education remained unchanged from the preceding month.
