Consumer Price Index in Türkiye, October 2022
Consumer price index (CPI) realized as 85.51% annually and 3.54% monthly
A change in general index was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 3.54%, on December of the previous year by 57.80%, on same month of the previous year by 85.51% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 65.26% in October 2022.

Communication with 33.48% was the main group that indicated the lowest annual increase. On the other hand, transportation with 117.15% was the main group where the highest annual increase realized.
In October 2022, education with 0.36% was the main group that indicated the lowest monthly increase. On the other hand, clothing and footwear with 8.34% was the main group where the highest monthly increase realized (indices, weights and rate of changes (%) by main expenditure groups are given in the Table-1).
In October 2022, within indices of 144 basic headings (Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose-COICOP 5 Digit Level) in the index, the index of 13 basic headings decreased and the index of 4 basic headings remained unchanged while the index of 127 basic headings increased.

A change in CPI excluding unprocessed food, energy, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and gold was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 3.24%, on December of the previous year by 50.57%, on same month of the previous year by 77.01% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 56.71% in October 2022.
