In October, consumer sentiment has not improved and remains at the same level as in September, at which time a sharp drop was noted. Households are still extremely concerned, although somewhat less pessimistic about the general economic outlook for Belgium over the next twelve months.

At the personal level, consumer expectations of their financial situation only marginally improved and remain at a low level. Households have again significantly lowered their savings intentions, confirming the previous month’s sharp decline.
