According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China’s software and information technology service sector experienced double-digit growth in sales and profits in the first four months of the year.
The report indicated that the industry’s profits increased 13.8 percent year over year to 367.4 billion yuan ($51.77 billion) in the timeframe, while its sales increased 12.8 percent to 3.32 trillion yuan.
During this time, software product revenue climbed by 11.1 percent year over year to 818.3 billion yuan. The results show that industrial software product revenue increased to 81.48 billion yuan, an increase of 15.1% from the previous year.
The data showed that income from cloud computing and big data services increased by 16.3% year over year, while revenue from technical services for e-commerce platforms increased by 4.1 percent.
