The business confidence barometer in Belgium fell to -1.8 in June of 2022 from 1.8 in the prior month, the lowest reading since February of 2021. Sentiment deteriorated in the manufacturing industry (-3 vs 1 in May) amid lower demand expectations and business-related services (8.5 vs 12.4) due to a decline in assessment of activity. Confidence also fell for trade (-10.7 vs -7.9) and the building industry (-4.1 vs -2).
