Agriculture-PPI (2015=100) on the previous month increased by 16.18%, on December of the previous year increased by 100.17%, on same month of the previous year increased by 154.97% and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 57.05% in May 2022.
Compared to the previous month in sectors; forestry products and related services increased by 6.11%, fishing products and other fishing products increased by 9.46% and products of agriculture, hunting and related services increased by 16.73%. Regarding monthly changes by main groups; non-perennial crops increased by 4.38%, live animals and animal products increased by 14.88% and perennial crops increased by 59.15%.

Compared to general Agriculture-PPI, lower annual change observed in 8 subgroups while 2 subgroups were higher
Other farmed animals and animal products with 55.11% and sheep and goats, live; raw milk and shorn wool from sheep and goats with 61.80% were the subgroups that indicated lowest annual increase. On the other hand, fibre plants with 273.94% and vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with 230.22% were the subgroups where high annual increases realized.

Compared to general Agriculture-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 9 subgroups while 1 subgroups were higher
Other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 1.34% and vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with 2.22% were the subgroups that indicated lowest monthly increase. On the other hand, dairy cattle, live and raw milk from dairy cattle with 18.28% was the subgroup that indicated high monthly increase. The subgroups that monthly decrease observed were fibre plants with 5.10% and poultry, live and eggs with 3.97%.

In May 2022, within average prices of 82 items in the index; the average prices of 18 items decreased and the average prices of 16 items remained unchanged while the average prices of 48 items increased.
