Agricultural Input Price Index, April 2020 in Turkey

Agriculture-PPI (2015=100) increased by 0.79% compared to previous month, increased by 2.51% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 7.61% compared to same month of the previous year and increased by 11.36% compared to twelve months averages, in April 2020.

Monthly changes with respect to previous month by main groups, goods and services currently consumed in agriculture index increased by 0.66% and goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 1.57%. The goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 7.24% and goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 9.93% compared to same month of the previous year.

The highest annual decrease was realized 5.58% in energy; lubricants subgroup

The other subgroup that indicated a decrease was plant protection and pesticides with 0.44%. On the other hand, animal feedingstuffs with 12.42%, seeds and planting stock with 12.32% and maintenance of materials with 11.62% subgroups where high annual increases realized.

The highest monthly decrease was 5.46% in energy; lubricants subgroup

The other subgroup that indicated high monthly decrease were veterinary expenses with 4.34% and other goods and services with 0.35% compared to previous month. In April 2020, maintenance of materials with 4.29%, fertilizer and soil improvers with 3.75% and animal feedingstuffs with 2.69% were the subgroups where high monthly increases realized.
