According to ANA, Greek tourism minister Vassilis Kikilias stated on Thursday that 2023 will be a very successful year.Meetings in Greece: The Game Changer was the theme of the minister’s speech at the Association for Professional and Conference Tourism’s 12th Panhellenic Conference, which was put on by HAPCO & DES. (Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers & Destination Events Specialists).He began by stating that Greek tourism is the most important pillar of the Greek economy and that without it, the nation would not experience development. He then emphasized the significance of business and conference travel, saying it is a crucial industry that can significantly boost tourism receipts.
In response to the organizers’ requests, Kikilias stated that he had presented the plan to the Greek government, anticipating a favorable outcome. The organizers had requested, among other things, the construction of a conference center in Athens. The minister mentioned that the creation of a digital registry of conference events will aid in organizing the required steps to boost business-conference tourism.
