A change in general index was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 3.43%, on December of the previous year by 55.00%, on same month of the previous year by 61.36% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 54.26% in October 2023.

Housing with 25.98% was the main group that indicated the lowest annual increase. On the other hand, hotels, cafes and restaurants with 94.12% was the main group where the highest annual increase realized.

In October 2023, transportation with -0.18% was the main group that indicated the lowest monthly increase. On the other hand, clothing and footwear with 13.73% was the main group where the highest monthly increase realized (indices, weights and rate of changes (%) by main expenditure groups are given in the Table-1).

In October 2023, within indices of 143 basic headings (Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose-COICOP 5 Digit Level) in the index, the index of 15 basic heading decreased and the index of 6 basic headings remained unchanged while the index of 122 basic headings increased.
The indicator for CPI having specified coverage (B) increased by 67.61% annually and 3.48% monthly
A change in CPI excluding unprocessed food, energy, alcoholic beverages, tobacco and gold was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 3.48%, on December of the previous year by 60.05%, on same month of the previous year by 67.61% and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 57.65% in October 2023.
