Denmark’s manufacturing output increased by 0.2% from a month earlier in August 2023, bouncing back after a downwardly revised 9% decline in the previous month as output increased in the pharmaceutical business (1.8% vs. -19.2%) and the food, beverage, and tobacco industries (2.7% vs. -6% in July). The production of machines (-4.3% vs -3.6%), plastics, glass, and concrete (-0.3% vs 1.4%), and electronics (-6.5% vs 0.7%) all decreased at the same time. Manufacturing production increased by 3.6% on a non-seasonally adjusted annual basis in August.
