CONSTRUCTION COST INDEX IN GEORGIA – JUNE 2023
In June 2023 the Construction Cost Index (CCI) decreased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous month. In the mention period prices for the category of transportation, fuel and
electricity decreased by 1.2 percent, which contributed -0.11 percentage points to the total index change. Along with this, prices for construction materials increased by 0.5 percent, with a relevant contribution of 0.34 percentage points to the monthly index change. Compared to February 2022 the CCI increased by 8.0 percent. The latter was largely caused by the 18.6 percent increase in average monthly nominal wages of employees in the construction sector, which contributed 4.41 percentage points to the total index change.
