The Industrial Production Index in Bulgaria decreased by 3.0% in January 2023 compared to December 2022. The data are preliminary and seasonally adjusted.
Compared to the previous month, a decline was reported in the mining and quarrying industry – by 10.9%, in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply – by 5.0% and in the manufacturing – by 1.9%.
In January 2023, a decrease of 4.3% was registered in the calendar-adjusted Industrial Production Index in comparison with the same month in 2022.
Compared to January 2022, a drop was observed in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply – by 28.9% and in the mining and quarrying industry – by 18.5%, while an increase was seen in the manufacturing – by 4.0%.
