Foreign investment in The Republic of Belarus from abroad and abroad from the Republic of Belarus in 2022

Investment in Belarus from abroad. In 2022, $7 billion were invested by foreign investors in the real sector of the economy.

The main investors of Belarusian organizations were economic entities from the Russian Federation (56.1% of the total investment), Cyprus (14.7%), Netherlands (4.1%) and Ukraine (2.9%).

Gross foreign direct investment (FDI) was $6 billion, or 85.4% of the total foreign investment.

Investment from Belarus abroad. In 2022 the outward – investment of Belarusian organizations totaled $6.3 billion.

Significant investment was made by organizations of the country in the economic entities of the Russian Federation (87% of the total outward investment), Ireland (2.4%) and Kazakhstan (1.6%).

Direct investment accounted for 82.4% of the total investment abroad.
