Statistics Sweden data show that despite the deteriorating economy, the unemployment rate in Sweden decreased in November and the employment rate rose.
Unadjusted unemployment decreased from 7.1 percent in October to 6.4 percent in November. The unemployment rate was 7.3% in the same month last year.
From 379,300 the month before, there were 342,700 fewer unemployed people in November.
The rate of young unemployment, which is calculated for those who are between the ages of 15 and 24, dropped from 21.4 percent in October to 17.0 percent in November.
From 78.2 percent in October to 78.5 percent in November, the employment rate increased. From 4.977 billion in October, there are now 5.009 billion people in employment.
