In October 2022, Denmark’s annual inflation rate increased by 0.1 percentage points to 10.1% from 10.0 percent the previous month. This was the highest reading since November 1982, with the main driving forces behind the increases coming from all categories: food (15.7% vs. 15.3% in September), alcoholic beverages, tobacco (8.5% vs. 8.0%), clothing (4.7% vs. 4.7%), housing (14.2% vs. 14.5%), furnishing & household maintenance (10.7% vs. 10.2%), health (3.0% vs. 2.5%), transport (10.6% vs. 11.1%), communication Consumer prices increased by 1.0 percent on a monthly basis after increasing by 1.2 percent in September.
