Fitch Ratings has maintained Poland’s long-term foreign currency rating at A- with a stable outlook.
Fitch said in a statement on Friday that the strong rating was based on Poland’s diversified economy, robust macroeconomic framework anchored in EU membership, and low level of public debt relative to peers.
Fitch cited governance and lower income levels as negatives.
Poland, according to Fitch, is likely to remain resilient to external shocks and growing macroeconomic challenges due to its stable fiscal position and improved external standing.
Poland’s economic growth will reach 2.3 percent in both 2023 and 2024, according to Fitch, with a downside risk.
