Non-Domestic Producer Price Index in Türkiye, May 2022
ND-PPI (2010=100) increased by 6.51% monthly, by 23.92% on December of the previous year, by 100.54% on same month of the previous year and by 70.12% on the twelve months moving averages basis in May 2022.

Manufacturing increased by 100.42% annually
ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 107.11% for mining and stone quarrying, by 100.42% for manufacturing compared with the previous year.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 112.79% for intermediate goods, by 83.68% for durable consumer goods, by 83.73% for non-durable consumer goods, by 279.37% for energy, by 85.52% for capital goods, annually.

Manufacturing increased by 6.50% monthly
ND-PPI in two main sectors of industry increased by 6.92% for mining and stone quarrying, by 6.50% for manufacturing compared with the previous month.
The indices of main industrial groups; increased by 6.79% for intermediate goods, by 3.87% for durable consumer goods, by 5.60% for non-durable consumer goods, by 22.51% for energy, by 5.41% for capital goods, monthly.

Compared to general ND-PPI, lower annual change observed in 14 subdivisions while 11 subdivisions were higher
The lowest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for wearing apparel by 64.76%, for tobacco products by 69.90%, for machinery and equipment n.e.c. by 77.41%. On the other hand the highest rates of annual increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 279.37%, for basic metals by 135.10%, for metal ores by 114.93%.

Compared to general ND-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 18 subdivisions while 7 subdivisions were higher
The lowest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were the indices for basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutic preparations by 3.25%, for computer, electronic and optical products by 3.43%, for other manufactured goods by 4.06%. On the other hand the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI by subdivisions of industry were indices for coke and refined petroleum products by 22.51%, for beverages by 10.55%, for basic metals by 7.88%.
