Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products, May 2020 in Turkey
Agriculture-PPI (2015=100) on the previous month increased by 0.88%, on December of the previous year increased by 8.00%, on same month of the previous year increased by 10.59% and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 15.13% in May 2020.
Compared to the previous month in sectors; fishing products and other fishing products decreased by 5.47%, forestry products and related services increased by 0.76% and products of agriculture, hunting and related services increased by 1.06%. Regarding monthly changes by main groups; perennial crops decreased by 4.54%, live animals and animal products increased by 1.51% and non-perennial crops increased by 3.56%.

The lowest annual decrease was 8.71% vegetables and melons, root and tubers subgroup
In May 2020, poultry, live and eggs was the other subgroup where high annual decrease realized with 3.88% on the same month of the previous year. On the other hand, cereals (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds with 25.57% and rice (in hulk) with 23.84% were the subgroups where high annual increases realized on the same month of the previous year.

The highest monthly decrease was 2.94% in fibre plants subgroup
In May 2020, the other group that indicated a decrease was rice (in hulk) with 0.39% amongst the subgroups. On the other hand, other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 8.88% and cereals (except rice), leguminous crops and oil seeds with 4.38% and vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with 4.07% were the subgroups where high monthly increases realized.

In May 2020 within average prices of 82 items in the index; the average prices of 29 items decreased and the average prices of 17 items remained unchanged while the average prices of 36 items increased.
