Labour Force Statistics, November 2019 in Turkey
Unemployment rate realized as 13.3%
The number of unemployed persons aged 15 years old and over increased by 327 thousand to 4 million 308 thousand persons in the period of November 2019 in Turkey compared with the same period of the previous year. The unemployment rate occurred as 13.3% with 1 percentage point increase. Non-agricultural unemployment rate occurred as 15.4% with 1.1 percentage point increase.
Employment rate realized as 45.6%
The number of employed persons decreased by 145 thousand to 28 million 169 thousand persons in the period of November 2019 compared with the same period of the previous year. The employment rate occurred as 45.6% with 0.9 percentage point decrease.
While the number of agricultural employment decreased by 147 thousand persons, construction decreased by 253 thousand persons, industry increased by 102 thousand persons and services increased by 152 thousand persons. According to the distribution of employment by sector; 17.3% was employed in agriculture, 20.4% was employed in industry, 5.6% was employed in construction and 56.6% was employed in services.
Labour force participation rate realized as 52.5%
The number of persons in the labour force realized 32 million 477 thousand persons with 182 thousand persons increase in the period of November 2019 compared with the same period of the previous year. Labour force participation rate (LFPR) was 52.5% with 0.5 percentage point decrease.

The rate of unregistered employment realized as 33.8%
The ratio of persons working without any social security relating to the main job occurred 33.8% with 0.2 percentage point increase in the period of November 2019 compared with the same period of the previous year. The rate of unregistered employment realized as 22.8% without any change in the non-agricultural sector compared to the same period of the previous year.
Public sector employment increased as 6.7%
According to data gathered by Presidency of Strategy and Budget, total public sector employment realized as 4 million 644 thousand persons with 6.7% percentage point increase in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared to the same period of the previous year.
For 15-64 age group, unemployment rate realized as 13.6% and employment rate realized as 50.2%
For the 15-64 age group, the unemployment rate occurred as 13.6% with 1.0 percentage point increase and non-agricultural unemployment rate occurred as 15.5% with 1.1 percentage point increase compared to the same period of the previous year. In this age group, employment rate occurred as 50.2% with 0.9 percentage point decrease and labour force participation rate occurred as 58.1% with 0.3 percentage point decrease.

Youth unemployment rate realized as 24.5%, employment rate realized as 32.6%
The youth unemployment rate between aged 15-24 years realized as 24.5% with 0.9 percentage point increase and the youth employment rate realized as 32.6% with 0.7 percentage point decrease compared with the same period of the previous year. In the same period, labour force participation rate realized as 43.2% with 0.3 percentage point decrease. The rate of neither in employment nor in education realized as 25.2% with 0.9 percentage point increase compared with the same period of the previous year.

Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate realized as 13.2%, employment rate realized as 45.9%
Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate realized as 13.2% with 0.3 percentage point decrease. The number of unemployed persons decreased by 100 thousand to 4 million 318 thousand persons.
Seasonally adjusted employment rate realized as 45.9% with 0.2 percentage point increase. The number of employed persons estimated as 28 million 358 thousand persons with 120 thousand persons increase compared with the same period of the previous year.
Seasonally adjusted labour force participation rate was 52.8% with 0.1 percentage point decrease. The number of labour force estimated as 32 million 676 thousand persons with 19 thousand persons increase.
According to the seasonally adjusted number of employment by sectors, employment in agriculture increased by 45 thousand persons and industry increased by 92 thousand persons while construction decreased by 10 thousand persons and services decreased by 8 thousand persons.
