Sectoral Confidence Indices, April 2019
Retail trade confidence index realized as 90.6
Seasonally adjusted retail trade confidence index decreased by 0.1% in April to 90.6. In retail trade sector; business activity-sales and current volume of stock indices decreased by 1.1% and 4.6% respectively compared to the previous month to 76.1 and 107.7. However business activity-sales expectation index increased by 7% to 87.9.

Construction confidence index realized as 53.9
Seasonally adjusted construction confidence index which was 54.1 in previous month decreased by 0.3% in April to 53.9. In construction sector; current overall order books index decreased by 1.8% compared to the previous month to 40.8. However total employment expectation index increased by 0.7% to 67.

EXPLANATIONS
Sectoral confidence indices can take value between 0 and 200. It indicates an optimistic outlook when the index is above 100, but it indicates a pessimistic outlook when it is below 100.
